Naghmeh Ivaki and Prof. Nuno Laranjeiro are at Limeira, for two month secondments at School of Technology of the University of Campinas (FT-UNICAMP). During the secondments they will also have the opportunity to visit Campinas to collaborate in transfer of knowledge activities with the professors and students of the Institute of Computing (IC-UNICAMP).

 

Naghmeh is a PhD student at the DEI-UC. She obtained her Master of Science in Information Technology Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering in the Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), Tehran, Iran, in 2008. Her PhD work focuses on dependable distributed systems and her research interests also include security and big data.

Nuno is an Assistant Professor at the UC, and his research interests include experimental dependability evaluation of services, including robustness and interoperability assessment.

 

They made their presentations to the students of the FT, presenting their current work and recent results. Naghmeh presented the talk “Reliable Point-to-Point Communications: Design and Development Solutions”, in which she presented some of the current work of her PhD, while Nuno presented the talk on “Robust and Interoperable Services: Research at the University of Coimbra”.

 

During this period, they will be working with local professors, researchers and students to explore collaboration opportunities. Moreover, it will be possible to work with the local researchers on the topics targeted by the project work packages, including project deliverables under developments.
